Family Owned and Operated Since 1974
Heller Well Drilling was established by Don A. Heller in 1974. Don had previously been employed as plant manager at Flint & Walling in Kendallville. He took over the long established well drilling company of Paul Fulk and with Mr. Fulk’s long time helper, Paul Sawyer, began a new career drilling and repairing water wells. In 1977, Don’s son-in-law, John Bruick, joined the company and began his drilling career. David Gravit joined Heller Well Drilling in 1980 after working several years with Fuller Well Drilling in LaGrange. Don retired due to health reasons and in 1984 John took over as President of Heller Well Drilling. Dave recently celebrated his 25 year employment with the company and John will celebrate his 30 year well driller anniversary in 2007. John and Dave have drilled and repaired wells throughout Noble, DeKalb, LaGrange, and Steuben counties almost 60 years combined. John’s wife, Cheryle Heller Bruick has been active in the company for many years as office manager.
